How does geo-location work?
Since more than 90% of cyber-attacks are triggered from outside of the US and almost all of them are triggered from outside companies’ premises, limiting users access to geo-location, such as the company’s premises, significantly improves security. NoPassword™ geo-location feature allows IT administrator to design access policies based on the location of the users. This goes beyond IP access management and therefore, significantly improves the security. With only a few clicks, the IT administrator can simply limit their users’ access to all or some applications to only their premise, building, city, state, or country. IT administrator can also set up policies that automatically reject any access request from risky geo-location, e.g. country, state, city, or specific address. IT admins can also add a few locations and assign temporary policies for other locations. Geo-fencing policies can be simply adjusted to allow access for employees who are traveling and are on-the-go.
How does NoPassword™ Identity and Access Management solution help my company’s security?
User provisioning and deprovisioning can’t get any easier. NoPassword™ admin portal allows the IT team to conveniently add or remove users or employees, and change their access to the company’s apps and accounts as necessary. As employee roles change and require different levels of access, the adjustments can be done manually or automatically. Smart provisioning and deprovisioning will reduce a company’s security vulnerability.
IT admins can get a variety of reports and analytics that help improve security. Employees move between various projects, locations, and at some point leave the company, therefore, their access to the company’s data should also change accordingly.
IT admins can set up a wide range of temporary and permanent security policies based on time, location, IP, Network, and even “work-hours”.
Geo-fencing and geo-location authentication significantly boosts security. NoPassword™ geo-fencing goes beyond IP access management and cannot be simply beat.
How does NoPassword™ Identity and Access Management solution work?
The IT admin will easily be able to import hundreds of thousands of users, groups, organizational units, and security policies via NoPassword™ Admin Portal. If you are setting up users accounts for the first time, the IT admin can add users, assign them to different groups, and then assign apps and a variety of security policies to those groups or users with a few clicks. NoPassword™ Identity and Access Management solution is compatible with Windows Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS and over 5,000 SaaS, web, and cloud apps. NoPassword™ Identity and Access Management is synced with Active Directory and LDAP in real time (if desirable), this means any changes that is made in NoPassword™ Admin Portal will immediately reflect in the company’s directory and vice versa. The IT admin’s workload significantly drops and the NoPassword™ Admin Portal enables them to set up accounts for hundreds of thousands of users in few minutes.
How does NoPassword™ Multi-Factor Authentication solution work?
NoPassword™ solution substitutes user password with its unique MFA approach known as H²MFA™. Through this method, the user is primarily authenticated based on a human factor (biometrics and behavioral factors) on their device (currently smartphone). This biometric and behavioural authentication occurs locally on the user’s phone, which means no biometrics information leaves the user’s device. Once the user is successfully authenticated on their device, NoPassword then extracts several hidden factors from the user’s phone to perform frictionless
multi-factor authentication. These hidden features are then sent to the authentication server to complete the authentication process. Contact us here
for further information on the solution design, security, and how you can use it.
How does NoPassword™ Single Sign-On work?
After IT administration completes the integration and onboards the users, the user simply goes to their login portal or nopassword.com
if you are trying NoPassword™. The user enters their username and clicks on the login
button. Then, they immediately receive a push notification on their smartphone, which directs them to the NoPassword™ app. When the user is locally authenticated on their phone based on their biometric and other hidden features, the user gains access to their Dashboard which shows all the accounts assigned to them by the IT admin. The user can access every one of those accounts, by just simply clicking on the app logos.
How often does NoPassword™ release an update?

If I’m using NoPassword™ Face Authentication, can someone else access my account with using my picture or image?
The short answer is No. For someone to access your account, they have to have your smartphone and have your biometrics. Even if an intruder steals your phone, they cannot use your face video or your face picture. NoPassword™ face authentication is secure against spoofing biometrics. Meanwhile, if you realize that your phone is lost or stolen, you can go to your login portal and report it or contact your IT support or service provider to report your device as lost or stolen. Once it’s reported, we automatically block all access from the lost device. We also flag that account so we can remotely eliminate all your information. To access your account now, simply register a temporary password or register a new device.
Is NoPassword™ FIDO certified?
Yes, NoPassword™ is FIDO UAF certified but we have gone beyond FIDO requirements and offer a significantly higher level of security.
We have millions of users, how expensive would it be if we want to use it for our users?
NoPassword™ has a pricing model specifically for customers that want to offer the solution to millions of external users. Trust us when we say, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Let’s talk to get you further information and an estimate.
What about the users without smartphones?
While we are seeing less and less users who don’t have a smartphone, users without a smartphone can simply use passwords or passwords plus a conventional second factor to access their account. These users’ experiences normally don’t change. We have seen in several organizations that those users who didn’t have smartphone saw their colleagues experience NoPassword™, they were convinced that they need to acquire a smartphone, with at least one biometric method (microphone, camera, or fingerprint) to take advantage of NoPassword™.
What certificates has NoPassword™ obtained?
NoPassword™ is FIDO UAF certified, although we have gone beyond FIDO requirements and offer a significantly higher level of security. NoPassword™ is currently going through FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validation test and two ISO certification tests. Please contact our team here
for updated information on the certification and validation tests.
What do you mean by frictionless hidden multi-factor authentication?
In contrast to other multi-factor authentication solutions that create inconvenience and extra steps for the users (e.g. answering security questions or entering token numbers), NoPassword™ does not require any extra steps from the user. NoPassword™ frictionless multi-factor authentication simply extracts the hidden features from the user’s phone, hidden from the user’s view, which is unique to that user and cannot be simply manipulated or reproduce, and uses that information to authenticate the user. The user, therefore, doesn’t need to take any extra steps.
What happen to the users whose smartphones are not equipped by fingerprint readers?
NoPassword™ offers face authentication and voice authentication on almost all devices as long as they are equipped with a front camera and/or microphone. Pattern-on-screen or PIN (upon request) can be used as an alternative method to biometrics.
What happens if someone steals my phone?
Don’t worry, your accounts are safe. No one can access your accounts because they don’t have your biometrics. Please contact your IT admin immediately to deactivate your NoPassword™ app on your phone.
You can also go to NoPassword login
page. Click on “Have trouble logging in”, follow the steps and click on “My phone is lost or stolen”. This will deactivate your NoPassword™ app on your phone. Once you get a new phone, please go ahead and register your new phone with your account.
What if there is a breach to your servers?
NoPassword™ solution DOES NOT store, share or transfer users’ biometrics and other sensitive information on and to its servers. Even in a hypothetical scenario, if there is a breach on the authentication server, there is no sensitive information, such as passwords or biometric info to be stolen or misused.
What is H²MFA™?
Human and Hidden Multi-factor Authentication.
What is NoPassword™?
NoPassword™ is the next generation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution that substitute passwords with Human and Hidden Multi-Factor Authentication (H²MFA™). Instead of using static passwords, NoPassword uses local biometric authentication (Face, Voice, Fingerprint, Iris and Behavior) on the user’s smartphone, then NoPassword extracts hidden features from the phone, without interrupting the user.
What is the difference between NoPassword™ and other password managers?
NoPassword™ solution is not a password manager. Password managers keep all your credentials and use a master password to login to your accounts. Therefore, password managers are still vulnerable to cyber-attacks, including social engineering and phishing. NoPassword™ solution does not have a big valve of passwords because it does not store any passwords. In short, NoPassword™ gets rid of all your passwords and replaces it with a more secure and convenient NoPassword™ frictionless MFA.
What is the general user experience?
Enterprise customers and workforce can easily login to their accounts using NoPassword™. To do so, a user simply opens their login page from any device, enter their username and clicks on the login button. The user subsequently receives a push notification on their smartphone which directs them to the NoPassword™ app (or application with NoPassword™ SDK). The application locally authenticates the user by getting their biometrics on their smartphones (i.e. fingerprint, face recognition, voice recognition or smart pattern). Once the user is locally authenticated, the application extracts hidden features from the phone, without adding friction, creates and encrypts a secure package – including the hidden features – and sends it to the authentication server. The authentication server decrypts the received message and checks its authenticity. If the information received meets the authentication server’s criteria, the user is authenticated and they are granted access to their account. The process is significantly faster and more secure relative to passwords and second factors.
What makes NoPassword™ unique compared to the competition?
NoPassword™ solution includes a 3-in-1 product: Identity and Access Management, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Human and Hidden Multi-Factor Authentication (H²MFA™). These products work harmoniously. There is no need for IT admins to buy several other products (such as SSO and 2nd factor solutions) and integrate them together. Contrary to other SSO providers, we don’t hide users’ passwords behind one master password, mainly to avoid vulnerability to different cyber-attacks, such as social engineering and phishing. NoPassword™ is the only truly password-free, frictionless MFA solution in the market.
NoPassword™ authentication system takes advantage of hidden multi-factor authentications: biometric technology, location, and time. All the communication is done using the most advanced and proven encryption method. A proprietary machine learning algorithm, which runs on our authentication server, detects any threats and unusual activities and ensures security. NoPassword™ makes passwords obsolete and improves security and convenience for both users and IT admins while respecting privacy. Integration is a breeze and it works with all your existing accounts and apps. NoPassword™ provisioning and de-provisioning makes it easy for the IT admin to quickly add and remove users, assign apps, set up authentication policies, and control user geo-location access.
What security measures are in place to make sure regular updates meet security level required for NoPassword™?
Please contact us here
if you are interested to learn more, we have extensive security documentations that we can share. If you are interested, we can schedule a private demo Here
to show you what we do in terms of security.
Why should we care?
- NoPassword™ does not store any credentials (passwords or biometrics) on a centralized database. Biometric authentication occurs locally on the user’s phone, therefore those attacks that lead to stolen credentials from a centralized database does not happen with NoPassword™.
- NoPassword™ does not require users to manually enter credentials. This means there is no place for phishing, social engineers, keyloggers, and man-in-the-middle attacks that primarily target credentials such as passwords and second-factor tokens.
- NoPassword™ unifies all identities across your enterprise, enabling your users (internal and external) to login to all company resources. Check the list of different use cases here.
- NoPassword™ works with your existing infrastructure even works with your other IAM solutions
- You can eliminate over 85% of cyber attacks.
- You can delivery security, privacy and convenience with a peace of mind.
- Seamless integration and simple on-boarding of users.
- Oh, and you’d be giving up passwords for a more secure and much better user experience without compromising privacy.
Why should we sign-up to use NoPassword™ solutions as a business?
Studies show that stolen credentials are the main source of cyberattacks (over 85%). With weak passwords – “123456” is still the most common password – and most people continue using one password for multiple accounts, making passwords as one of the most vulnerable elements of cyber-security. The striking reality is that as the number of accounts we use increase, we become more and more careless about password management. Some companies have complicated password policies in place to make sure that users choose complicated passwords that include capital letters, characters, numbers, etc. Research shows that these policies do not solve the problem because users forget those complicated passwords, save their passwords on spreadsheet files or on sticky notes, which create a number of security concerns. Besides, as long as users manually enter passwords, however strong or complicated, they are vulnerable to social engineering (especially phishing attacks).
Even the most internet security-conscious user, who uses single sign-on or a password manager, doesn’t really overcome the cybersecurity problem. If the master password, which password managers use, gets hacked, all of the user’s accounts are compromised.
The second factor authentication dongles, apps, or texts are inconvenient and insecure too. They create a lot of headache for the users and they are still vulnerable to a number of security attacks, including phishing.
Passwords have failed us too many times and no upgraded solution has managed to keep up with today’s complex apps and accounts. It is time to move on to a more secure and simple-to-use solution. Companies need a solution that is convenient for IT admins to implement a seamless, secure, and convenient Identity and Access Management solution, one that works with and is compatible with the company’s existing infrastructure, and more importantly is able to deliver the most secure solution to all its users with ease of use. And we believe, passwords should be eliminated from that solution.
Why Single Sign-On solution?
Most of us struggle to remember all the passwords we use for various apps and accounts, which is why most users have a weak password management. We tend to write our passwords down on a post-it or save it to a file in our computer. We choose easy to remember passwords: birthplace, birth date, pet name, etc. This information is very easy to extract in the world of oversharing and social media. A quick look at a user’s Facebook page, a hacker can guess most of that user’s passwords. And when we come up with a random password, we tend to reuse them for multiple accounts, which is where experts claim humans are the weakest link in cyber-security.
Additionally, as the number of SaaS and Web apps we use on the daily basis increase, so does the inconvenience, privacy, and security risk of weak password management. Moreover, IT admins deal with frequent password reset requests and constantly worry over employee’s password security. Upgrading to single sign-on (SSO) solutions helps avoid the headache of dealing with multiple passwords. A master password in SSO solution gives users access to their accounts and apps. At NoPassword™, we replace hackable master passwords with H²MFA™(Human and Hidden Multi-Factor Authentication) solution to make sure that the convenience of SSO solution doesn’t come at the price of risky password management. Once a user logs in from their login page, they have access to all of their accounts and apps securely through our NoPassword™ SSO solution. NoPassword™ can also sit on top of your existing SSO solution, such as Centrify, Ping Identity, Okta, OneLogin, etc.
Will my IT admin or the NoPassword™ team members see my credentials and information?
No, your information is stored locally on your phone and only the encrypted data will transfer between your phone, your computer, and our server. Therefore, no one has access or can see your information directly.
